The Design Challenge:
Re-brand and design existing packaging for a boxed product using typography as the main focal point. Explore the target audience, market competition, information hierarchy, and the essentials, restrictions, and goals of packaging design and marketing. For the final presentation design and print out the packaging and create a mock-up as a realistic product.
Process:
*Determine which product needs a rebranding
*Demographic
*Brainstorming/Mood board
*Measure existing product/Draft diecut lines
*Information hierarchy - include Government warnings and restrictions
*Type hierarchy
*Drafts/multiple revisions
*Idenify stock paper weight (Mockup printed out on 80 lb. cover/216 gsm matte stock)
*Print out and assemble
*Final critique/Presentation
